Downtown Clermont Business Boom
Clermont has been experiencing a big business boom for a very long time now with continuous growth, but what’s growing even more is Downtown Clermont. There have been 21 businesses that opened in downtown Clermont out of the 176 that opened citywide, which is 37 more than in 2018. You can even compare my last Downtown Clermont blog post here to see the difference and the changes that have occurred just from 2019 to 2020. So let’s see why downtown Clermont is the place to be!

Many Things to Do
The Art Walk – Clermont Events
If you didn’t know I’ve been tracking the Clermont Art Walk Project for some years now, being passionate about art, I enjoy painting and interior design as a hobby. Therefore, seeing this project coming alive into fruition is really a very nostalgic and exciting time not just for me but Clermont as well. The Art Walk also being named as the Clermont Art District has a large outdoor space that will include eight very large interactive art murals on the side of the wall. Meaning you can snap a picture or two and post on social media.
For example, on one wall you will have actual angel wings so that you can take pictures on that as well. On the right where the actual building stands there will be murals on that building. Inside the building space, there will be room for four spaces for art galleries or other art related fields. There will be enough space to hold art festivals where vendors may set up tables along the mural side and extend all the way down through the back end of the long driveway. This is a great addition to completely transform and build Arts and Culture into the Clermont landscape.

Many stores have recently opened up such as Wiseman’s Gourmet Popcorn with yummy popcorn in a variety of flavors, Orange Blossom Belle clothing and fashion and CurlUpDye.net offering hair services.
Montrose Street Market

The Montrose Street Market will be opening September of 2020. This space houses different vendors such as Poki Kai; Golden Hill Coffee Roasters; Box Grill; Real Deal American Grill; One Utopia; Jour de Crepe; Sud’s Saloon; and Brazilian Bites Gourmet.
Woodhouse Day Spa – Under Construction

This is the site of the Woodhouse Day Spa that is being constructed by Darren Johnson. Johnson also owns the Clermont Brewing Company which I covered in my previous downtown Clermont Fl video. There are also plans to build upon the lot across the street, it would be called the Victory Coast hotel having over 100 hotel rooms.
Cheeser’s Palace Restaurant

Here I am enjoying a wonderful breakfast from Cheeser’s Palace. This is a shrimp and crab benedict which has grilled shrimp and crab with two over-easy eggs, hollandaise sauce over a French croissant with potato and grits. They have so much food options including gluten free buns and their food is delicious.

Check out The Downtown Exchange located on the corner of 8th Street and W Montrose Street. The space includes various vendors including Whistle Stop Bakery, Sweet Finish Kettle Corn, Sweet Cups Chef, Carriage and Key, ZiZis Gourmet, Comic Controllers, Surfin on Ice, Orchids by Charlene, Nery’s Jewelry Box. Visit OneUtopia and a try a sample of the Chagachino, it will make you want to get a full-size version as its immune boosting, great for cognitive function, anti-aging properties and energy and endurance with loads of antioxidants.
